The traditional martial arts in the video are not realistic defenses. I’ve known this for years. This is one of the primary reasons I began training in Krav Maga, and even eventually teaching it alongside our traditional karate program. Krav Maga is a fantastic system against weapons. We keep it simple. Our first rule in knife attacks is to run- if the opportunity is there.
