I think the man makes the fighter versus the style. In the video below the Muy Thai Fighter is leagues above the Karate Fighter. The Karate fighter just isn’t good. However, he can take a lot of punishment which in a street fight scenario is fantastic. A martial art can certainly turn a man into a good fighter. A good fighter can learn by training in martial arts. But, in general I find these style versus style matches underwhelming. I am much more interested in the man versus the man versus his style. Still fun to watch nonetheless.
