Just a quick one-
Below is a seminar in Russia, which was instructed by Christophe Penna, whom was at one time a world champion point fighter. A great point fighter is a person who can add an additional half inch to a technique with devastating power. High level point fighting is considered “light contact”. However, a quality point fighter is anything but light contact. High level is a person with great technique, speed, focus, and power. Footwork and speed are what separate a great fighter and a good fighter.
Sparring and kata. I’ve always found team kata a strange endeavor. I respect the skill and timing, but I prefer individual kata.
